How do I stop taking the easy way out?!

Question: Everytime that I have a problem, such as handling stress or losing weight, I always look for some "quick fix" that will instantly solve my problems. I know that anything that will have long lasting effects on my problems will require a lot of time, but I just can't seem to get that in my head and stick with it. What do I do?

You really need a support group. If you can't convince yourself to work through your problem by yourself, then you need others to do it for you. If you can find a couple of close friends that can be strong and hold your hand through the process, then you can make it. Many official support groups do this. It may be 9 at night and you can't help but want a piece of cake. Instead of eating the cake, you go call up your friend and they'll help convince you to say no. Maybe they'll take your mind off of it. Friends are always the best if they work towards your goals.

Find one thing to do and do it the right way. You will see how satisfying that is, and you will want to do it more.
