walking, or just about any kind of exercise, reading, riding around just to look at the neighborhood...petting a dog or cat, playing with a child...

meditation, yoga, tai chi, exercise, focus else where

coloring....i'm in this health 11 class and on the first day the prof. asked us to tear out a page from the stack of coloring books she had and made us color for 10 mins. at first everyone was like wtf?! this is a waste of time...blah blah blah. but 10 mins later we were all just so engrossed w/ what we were coloring that we didn't really care that we were doing this in a college class.

The oldest, and easiest, remedy is reading a book. Lie on the couch and read for an hour or two. Every muscle in your body relaxes once you start getting-into what you're reading. Reading is a pleasure that reduces anxiety, so it's win-win.
If you don't read many books, get some magazine subscriptions. Magazines are an antidepressant!

Very strict timetable to keep ur busy throughout day and extreme level of physicial exercise to feel up. I m boy being subjected to extreme level of abuse and violence. It works in my case hope it may make u good too.

Any activity that allows your thoughts to focus on something else other than your negativity.
Simple breathing exercises can really help.

Play with a pet.

Try gardening, or potting a plant. It does wonders too be in close contact with nature to appreciate the most simple things in life. All the best!
