Do you suffer from bouts of melancholia? What do you do to stave off an attack?!
Question: What seems to help is to have a good support system. When feelings of hopelessness and despair come, I try to talk about my feelings to someone who knows me well. Also, in times of stress, I make sure I have adequate rest and try to eat at least 2 balanced meals even if I don't feel good. It is hard to exercise when you don't feel well, but it seem to help to do some form of moderate exercise. Listening to soothing music seems to help and warm baths.
