All i want to do is sleep and eat...?!


Question: Is there something wrong with me? I do other things I force myself to do all the things I should be doing throught the day like playing with my son outside but all I can think about is sleeping and eating. I sleep about 9 hours at night. I eat more then I should. Is there something I can do??

Sounds like your getting a little on the depressed side. SInce you force yourself to do what you should. Eventually you will stop forcing yourself.

I would say, and this is my opinion, you should take up an activity or something to make yourself feel wanted/busy/needed. This can really help. Plus you'll have a reason to do "what you should be doing".

Once you get in a rut it is hard to get out of it. The sooner you get out the better, because it gets worse.

You can talk to your dr. about some medications. However simple diet changes can really help too... Cut out some sugars and heavier foods. Replace with fruit and vegetables....

all anyone ever wants to do is eat and sleep. those are the best 2 things.

maby ur pregnent take a test when was the last time u were sexuly active were u on ur peroid when u had sex

its probably just because your in a lazy stage. it will stop in a while and in a while i dont mean a day i mean a while. just for now make yourself take walks and eat healthy stuff so that u can eat a lot of it

It's possible you could have depression, eating is a form of 'stuffing' the problems.

I know this feeling. You are not alone. When I was on Lithium, all I wanted to do was sleep and eat. But I went off it myself because I didn't like being a zombie. ~you see i didn't go shoot up a classroom after that~ But seriously, when I am severely depressed this is all I do. I'm just now starting to feel better after another severe depression. I have been in my house and sleeping and eating and playing on this computer for about 2 weeks. I can feel myself coming out of it slowly now. In a few days, I think I'll be ok. This is my roller coaster. BUT you should go see a doctor and see a therapist! They most definitely can help you to see a rainbow my dear!

I think you may be depressed seek your doctors advice if you feel reall low or don't think you can manage it in your own.

You seem to have lost all motivation. you could also be bored, it's not easy having a child for company all day, why not joing a mothers group that way your son (depending on his age) will have friends to play with and you will have adult company and take your focus away from eating and sleeping, if you don't want to join a group you could put your son in s stroller and go for a long walk with him so your not stuck at home eating all day. Go to the beach with your son and build sand castles colled sea shells and bring them home and do an art project with the shells with your son, play in the water anything to get you out and about is great therapy for you.

I just think you need some kind of stimulation, if you find other mothers in your area who are like you and get together with them and go for walks you will sart to get healthy and your mood will lift and yo will start to have more energy and won't want to say home and eat and sleep. I hope I helped you with my advice.

im like that too and havegained 30 pounds! it becaused i have depression though so i have to c a therapist...
