Why do I act this way?!

Question: I know I have anger issues. But I just wonder what makes me act the way I do. I have a part time job working at a pet store. I do pet adoptions. I don't exactly work at the pet store. I work at the shelter. Now, the pet store brings a floor cleaning crew in and like an hour before the store closes. The floor is soak and wet and the machines are very loud while there are customers in the store. I was talking to an adopter and the floor cleaners come by with those big loud machines and scare the cats to death (I do cat adoptions) and it is impossible to talk to people over the machines. Well, I didn't say anything at first, but I was livid and I just felt my anger building.

Well, I was running late that night and I left a half hour after the store closes. In the parking lot, I also saw the floor cleaning crew loading their equipment in their truck. Well, something inside of me snapped and I became even more angry because I assumed they stayed late in the night and that is why they ca

The issue of the floor cleaners needs to be brought up with upper management. Try to calmly explain what happens, that the noise scares the animals and annoys potential customers, not to mention causes a hazard to customers and employees by having the floor slippery during business hours.

It's ok to get angry. But your issue is being able to drop something. Take some deep breaths and count. Think of how this is just a small issue and there are worse things in the world to get angry about. Think of how you can put your anger energy into something constructive, like first talking to management about the cleaners and maybe coming up with a solution to the problem. Later on, write about your anger. Keep a journal, write down every thought and feeling then think of why you thought that and felt that way and write that down too. It really does help.

well...you are not crazy !!!! the cleaning crew is on their own schedule and they just wanna go home like iu do but if ur business is still open then they serioulsy sdhoule not be cleaning and freaking out ur 100-1200 dollar sale!! PERIOD!!!!!! talk to ur boss and it should no longer be a prob!! unless he doesnt want to make a buck and just have clean floors.
