Suicidal what to do?!


Question: i am a christian and i know it is wrong for me to want to doathis
i am a cutter and am trying to cope but it isnt working

i have tryed a couple of times and been in the hospital a couple of times and i have finely kicked the habit. all it took was a little faith in my self and the help of my friends. i thought i could do it on my own but i was wrong. i wish you the best and if you knead a friend to talk to you just wright me.

We all have had bad times in our lives. You need to find a few ways to cope with the depression, that's all.

Diaries are good. Every day be sure to write down 5 things that went RIGHT, that you're grateful for. Meditation can help, so can positive affirmations. All three are ways to choose what your mind thinks about. If you take control of your thoughts, and choose not to feel bad, believe it or not, you can drive depression and suicidal thoughts away.

You know how if you try you can convince yourself that you feel sick? It works the other way too, you can convince yourself you feel great.

MEDITATION FOR DUMMIES is a good book, THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING is another. Your local library should have both. If not email me, I'll suggest other ones that are good too.

OK, this is a crash course in clearing your head. It works like a charm, do it at least once a day for a week or so, it'll really help.

Lay down in a quiet room, close your eyes, and take slow deep breaths. make each inhale and exhale last as long as you can. Just think about making each breath as long and slow as possible. Nice and deep, from down in your stomach, not up high in your ribs.

Then say to yourself "I feel my toes relaxing." and they will. Take 10 or so breaths. Then say "I feel my ankles relaxing" and they will. Go all the way to the top of your head until you feel as if your scalp is relaxed and loose. Let your whole body go limp.

Imagine that as you exhale that red smoke is blowing out your mouth as you exhale, taking away all the stress with it. As it goes out of you, you'll feel your body getting lighter.

Just lay there, calmly breathing, blowing out the stress, for about 20 minutes.

Don't let yourself think about anything but breathing nice and slow. If a thought pops up, say to yourself "Time for that later. In....... hold it.... and out...."

It takes a few times, but it'll get easier.

Try this. Remember the cursed diary in HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS? Write a cursed diary. Think of a negative thought or bad memory you want to get rid of. Feel it like a dark sludge stuck in your head.

Feel the sludge ooze out of your head, down your arm, and out your hand as you write about the memory onto a piece of paper. Write the memory or thought until you feel the sludge has poured out of your body into the paper. The paper holds that evil thought now.

Take the paper holding that thought and destroy it. Tear it up, burn it, scatter the ashes to the wind. That evil thought is now gone from your mind and your life.

Trust me, it works.

Seriously, you need to stop and think about what Jesus would want you to do. If you are his child and he has created you, and you feel pain, you need to go to him in prayer and meditation and don't stop praying until he hears you and stops you from feeling like that.

First off I am sorry that you feel that much pain in your life. You really need to get the emotion out of your body. Do something that makes you feel free ,like kick boxing, horse back riding, our just playing your favorite songs and go crazy to them. Cutting is not the way to get people to understand how you feel. No one will know how you really feel untill you start talking about it.

If I was in your situation I would jump of a 20 story building and if you survive then you know God isn't done with you yet and he has something special planned for you to do. Like go on a mission trip. If you die then you know that there was no use living anyways.

THe best thing I can tell you to do is tell your family how you are feeling and if there in no family around tell a close friend. They can help you to feel better and can get you help if you need it. PLease tak to someone!!!!

im a cutter too and im christian.
i know i shouldnt do it and i think you do too..
i cant really give you that much advice because im trying to stop cutting..
but im telling you that the reason why sometimes i dont do it its because of my family.. or when they cause the reason for me to cut.. i think abt god.
i think that is it worth for me to cut myself after he was willing to give up his son's life [jesus] for us..
and all im going to do is waste it by cutting myself??
think about it. =]

Take it form me. I am bi-polar and a cutter. I did stop. You do need to talk to someone.

Think about this. God gave you a gift. Life. How would you feel if you gave someone a rare one of a kind gift and that person went out and cut it up and wanted to destroy it. Would that hurt you? How do you think he feels? He wants you to enjoy the life he gave you. He doesn't want to see anyone hurt so don't hurt yourself. That is how I stopped cutting. It is a gift He gave me and he has the right to tell me how to use my life. I don't say this to make you feel guilty. Just think about it.

You need to get some help. Talk to a professional. I wish you the best. I wouldn't have answered you if I didn't care. You can do it. Hang in there.
