Question: I am not suicidal or anything, but just going through alot of stress at home with me and my kids at the moment.
I normally see a counsellor evry 2 weeks, but cant see her for a month coz she is on holiday, and i have no one else that i can talk to. I am just so tired and had enough of all the stress....what should i do?

Well interacting with other people is probably the best start. Don't hide away at home very day. Get fresh air, go for a walk. Come on Y/A and talk with us. Having too much time alone thinking will make it worse.

Theres always people here you could talk to... eh.

If you cant talk to anyone write it down... its kinda the same to me.

You can talk to me, I am great with people really! Just email me and we can talk. I have been there too.

Write down your thoughts or share them in a forum...

I hope you feel better!

Just need someone to unload on for a bit? I'm all ears my friend.

call your best friend and talk to him/her

talk to some of your friends about this.
also your husband or boyfriend.
this can be resolved.

just find other ppl to talk to, go to the gym, i find exercise really helps with depression....talk to ppl on here, facebook myspace all that crap

good luck Claire, all the best

Call the samaritens.

call Samaritans, you don't have to be suicidal , they will listen to all worries, big or small

invent some character on your mind .... listen music that can inspired you and talk to other people what you listening to.. and ... invent your character like a ventriloquist ... buy a dummy

Don't worry, worse things happen at sea,so my husband keeps telling me.You can talk to everyone on yahoo answers. If not email me.x

I'm sorry you're going through an emotional time :(

I'm suffering from Amnesia and is very depress..
but i was fishing around the web when i caught this saying:Just remember this, with unhappiness come happiness, rainbow comes after rain.

Ditto for me. You can email me anytime.

take a deep breathe. try a bath, some tea give yourself some you time, even if it is only for a couple of hours after the kids are in bed. invest in yourself, it will help make things easier.

Start a journal, and write your feelings down. hopefully that will help till you can see your counselor again, plus you may have worked thru some problems. good luck to you. I know how you feel.

Ohhh i feel for you, i often feel like that, have no friends , they all live in S-Africa a bit far to pop in for a cup of coffee. Play some good music, polish your furniture, bake a cake read a book if you want to be cheered up read a silly book like 'Sophie Kinsella's', Shopaholic and baby or any of her other shopaholic books, they are hilarious and cheers me up no end. I know it is difficult feeling cheerful when you feel down and out but i will be thinking of you , please cheer up

and i wish you well. From one that knows all about it.:))

Ps. You can contact me as well, anytime.:)

Get your own MySpace page and join different groups that you're interested in. It will help you find like-minded people or keep you entertained long enough to keep your mind off of being depressed. Cheer up, you can be MY friend!

you could like just sleep or take a nice bath for a while

I am sure you know that depression is caused by a life that has become intolerable. Is there anything you can do to give yourself a pick me up - new hair do, nightout with friends, plan a holiday for you and the kids. Another very good way of dealing with depression is to read the books of Dorothy Rowe. She writes quite amazing books about depression. Like you, I suffer from the big D and I find her books such a comfort. Good luck.

Get yourself out of the house with the kids. Perhaps take them to the park there are always people around who may chat about everyday stuff and that may help cheer you up as well as relieve the stress. Try and keep your mind occupied, maybe try a new hobby. Remeber your special. Take care of you. x

You should talk too
Me! i'm a good reader..I can't say listener cuz i cant hear you
LOL but i too go through a lot of crap with my husban and children so i know what your going through..
ladyindia2005@yahoo.com. hit me up and we will chat..
Good luck

You can email me, i suffer with depression, and will be here to talk should anyone need me!

I get like that from time to time, maybe u can try exercise (yoga, pilates, cardio, kickboxing) yahoo answers also helps, especially when I read some of the hilarious responses people send.

ivillage.co.uk has a message board about coping with depression. it is in the support board section and you can post a message and people reply to you. it is good and you can make friends etc but totally annonymous.
i use it quite often as like you get low sometimes

Hi Claire,

Sorry to hear you're feeling down.

Would it be possible to get away for a couple of days? Go and see a friend or family member and have someone to take care of your children? That way you can relax, have time to yourself, and de stress?

Is it possible to have an appointment with someone else where you go for your counselling sessions? Or you could call The Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 or email them at jo@samaritans.org

I have been ther are can honestly say exercise is the best answer, a brisk walk or swimming is great. It releases endorphins which make you feel good. I read that 30 mins exercise is as good as taking 1 Prozac.

Well maybe you should try and get away for a bit, maybe a vacation? go somewhere with your friends. But if you need any help i'm here to listen and give you advice :) I took a physcology class in college so good luck :)

Get a life, go out, start doing a sport, become a member of somekind of club, go to the library and read, stop being dependant on a counsellor, take control of your own life and your owm decisions.
