Does anyone else enjoy sleep paralysis?!

Question: I know it sounds crazy, but I enjoy the rush of sleep paralysis. I usually get so freaked out that it only lasts briefly and ends with me waking up screaming. I dont have it often but it tends to happen when I fall asleep on my back. I once had a dream my cats had me tied up and were on top of me and when I awoke my hands were underneath my shirt like I was trying to free myself lol.

Yes, sleep paralysis is when you're awake but you can't move because your body is still 'asleep'. I have experienced it since I was a teenager and it used to be very frustrating. It felt like I'd lost control of my body and was trapped inside the body. But ten years later, I had the experience of actually LEAVING THE PHYSICAL body, i.e. astral projection, during sleep paralysis. The astral plane is like being conscious whilst dreaming, which means you can experience almost anything you think about. Try it next time you have sleep paralysis: very gently concentrate on your forehead and imagine moving out of the body. The body will pull you and you will return back to the same body. But if you are afraid, then don't attempt this as you will create frightening thoughts for yourself and it will affect your experience.

hmmm i cant say i really enjoy it but it is pretty cool. i used to sleep in my car between classes about a year ago, and i would get it all the time and sometimes i'd actually try to get it because i did think it was pretty cool to experience. There was something about sleeping in my car that would make it happen a lot easier.

Could you explain what exactly sleep paralysis is please. Is it when you're on the verge of waking up and you're aware of what's around you, but you can't move?

When you say "sleep paralysis," you mean experiencing any dream where you think you cannot move?

No, I do not enjoy dreams where I think I cannot move.

No, I HATE it. I can blame my meds.

I think if you Googled hypnogogic phase of sleep, I think this is what makes us dreamk that way. It happens just before you hit REM sleep and just as you come out of REM sleep. it is a matter of minutes even though it feels like forever and can be bloody scarey, i hste them they terrify me, have gone days without sleep in case it happens again. Wish I could enjoy them like you. The worst, yet amusing one is the thinking you are on the loo and actually going in bed lol

I don't think this has ever happened to me...it sounds cool though! haha..watch this happen to me tonight and i freak out.

Yes I'm asleep right now. And loven it.

I HATE SLEEP PARALYSIS! It is the most terrifying thing ever! Before I knew what was happening I literally thought that I was fighting off demons that were trying to invade my body! When it stopped I would pray myself to sleep! I had people teeling me that it was an out of body experience, but that still scared the living crap out of me! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!
