usually its like 5 pounds int he first 6 weeks... some gain a lot more, and some lose. it depends on the person and the drug and the dosage

Hi--Every medication is different, every dosage is different as of gaining weight, and everybodys body is different. You can't determine (if at all, sometimes there isn't always side efffects) how much weight a person is going to gain. For instance say somebody weighing 100ibs is on 75mg of Prozac. Another person is 180ibs and is on 150mg. It all depends on how your liver metabolizes the drug, how much you weigh, the drug itself, and the dosage. You don't gain weight as a gurantee on every medication either....
