Why is my right thumb trembling?!

Question: As a mental health professional with 20+ years experience, now retired, I'm wondering what made you think your thumb trembling had anything to do with mental health. As man patients as I've seen over those 20+ years, I've never diagnosed and treated one because of the "symptom" of "thumb trembling". Maybe I missed that diagnostic criteria in one of the Anxiety Disorder categories, or in the Tic disordered criteria. God Bless you, and your thumb.

it could be some sort of vitamin deficiency

Perhaps it's frightened.

haha mine does that too and I have no idea. but it gets annoying- really annoying if you need to be precise about something.

Your thumb has a pulse in it, which is why if you've ever taken a CPR class they tell you not to use it to check for a pulse rate.
If it only happens periodically, it may just be because your heart rate is in an excited state.
If it happens more often, it may be a symptom of a blood clot near the area, in which case, seek immediate medical attention!
