I was wondering if anyone knows if depression worsens with age?!
Question: I have had major depression disorder since I was 10 years old..Now I am 28 years old..My depression is worst now than its every been..Everyday I get irritable and angry around the same time of day...I was never like this..and everything irritates me..I have no interest in doing anything because I can't concentrate on anything...I'm wondering if Depression worsens with age because it was never this bad for me

Every episode of depression increases the odds of another one happening in the future. And it can also increase in severity and be more difficult to treat. I once had a psychiatrist (actually a good one!) tell me that a mood stabilizer used in addition to an antidepressant is a good way to treat chronic depression and help prevent more episodes.

it can worsen by age and it might not. and i've had it for almost the same time as you. and i've done lot's of introspection and after many years of self help, psychology book etc. the only real useful help is from alice miller.
read readers mail and articles, don't judge the information too fast, read it like a story first.
if you take care of yourself and do what your doc saids- take meds if they order you to no matter the age the illness should affect you the same
