In the New Scientist Magazine 1992
There was an Independent Survey , done by the Institute of Actuaries , that revealed the success rates of al the different Stop Smoking methods.....other known results have been added , and marked with an asterik * Doctor's Advice 3% Will Power 6% Self Help Books 9% Nicotine Gum 10% Nicotine Patches 15% Acupuncture 25% Hypnotherapy 30% Hypnotherapy 35% (with medical reasons) Hypnotherapy methods devised by Award Winning Professor of Psychiatristy and Professor of Psychology 82% still not smoking 26 months later , after the last session !

* Nicotine patches were not in the Survey.....I don't think they were about in 1992.....but their success rate is known as being 15%
The NHS promote Nicotine Replacement Therapy......and yet Nicotine Patches are only 15% successful !

Will Power is only 6% successful.....94% of Smokers therefore need help.....and are then only as successful.....as the Method that they use !
