i don't want to use the counter options. i want a basic one. like some kind of cooking foods or something?

If you will go to the Health Food store, and get some Lysene tablets. And from now on include corn in your diet, preferably daily, that means any kind of corn, caned corn fresh corn on the cob, corn muffins, pop corn etc. The Lysine is the Corn, and you should not be getting any more cold sores. Or if you wish you can go for a small pox injection at your Doctor. There is also Abreva and some other medications the Dr. can prescribe. The choice is yours.
