Massage therapy state exam?!

Question:

Massage therapy state exam?

On June 19th I will be sitting for my State of Ohio Massage therapy exam. I feel confident that I know my stuff. I have gotten all the info from the state medical board wed site and what areas to focus on. I was just wondering if anyone has taken this rest and if there was certain areas that needed more focus than others. And if there was any questions that remain fresh in your mind. Anything would be helpful.

I sit for my NCBTMB as well on august 24th. I am SO nervous. I don't know the requirments in Ohio, but Florida is a VERY strict state. I have over 960 hours in school, and my diploma of course. I still feel unprepared though, lol. My weakness is A&P, so I'm really trying to brush up on that .

I have had 4 friends sit for their National exam, and 3 have failed. They failed by around 3-10 points, but still failed. However the class that graduated before mine passed with flying colors. From everything that everyone has been telling me, you really need to know A&P and muscles (origins, insertions, actions, etc..) Functional Assessment, Applications and Movements, History (know the names of the major players, and what they are famous for) Business and Ethics,Pathology (know the medical terms for diseases) and Chinese (chakras, current concepts, history, meridians and the start/end points...and really know the TCM chart!)

I hope that helps...for both of us..... : )

Do you just take a state exam in Ohio, or the national exam?
