I am looking for an herbal remedy using Conopholis Americana aka cancer root, br!

Question:

I am looking for an herbal remedy using Conopholis Americana aka cancer root, broomrape, squawroot...?

I have found only one reference as to how to make an herbal remedy from squawroot to help treat facial cancer. This is not blue cohosh that is also called squawroot but is specifically conopholis americana. Although it is commonly called cancer root, I cannot find a remedy. Quick answers appreciated as the squawroot I have in the woods is fresh but won't be for long.

I specifically stated that this is not cohosh and this is not related to Angelica. The specific herb is Conopholis Americana which is not related to cohosh or angelica. Because of the several different herbs also called squawroot I specifically gave the botanical name of the plant that I am speaking of. Your advice is good but does not refer to the plant I am speaking of.

I don't think I have heard of such a treatment...

Question comes of where you heard about this from.

Squaw root is not a trifling herb. It is too close to other species of Angelica (and there are very very many species). Before the herb goes out of harvest, pick them whole and dry them. Then you have time to research and make sure of what you are doing.

From personal experience, herbs are effective. This means they do what they do slowly and surely. Slowly and surely means there are no rushed results.

THE MAIN REASON WHY PEOPLE HAVE TROUBLE WITH HERBS IS BECAUSE THEY WANT RESULTS NOW AND DECIDE TO UP DOSAGES WITH HOPES OF FASTER RESULTS.
This of course ends up in a self poisoning. So go harvest the herbs, taking a couple pictures of them before you do so and a couple pictures after to insure you are getting the right herb.

I can't see the harm in making compounds to put on your skin, seeing Angelica is only harmful when ingested. Just make sure you do not drink or eat any of it. Try using the leaves first (seeing the leaves are usually mild), and seek advice while doing so. Insure, first, you do a small skin test like you would with any new medicine to make sure you are not allergic.

Take a good amount of the herb and put it in a pot. Pour hot water on it like you would cereal, just enough to cover the greens, and cover the water and herb. Let it sit for a half hour. Open the pot and make sure the mix looks like stewed greens. Test to insure the mix is cool enough to handle, then take out the greens, leaving them slightly moist like you would leave a towel mist. Place the greens on your face for a good 15 minutes at least, but not more than 30, letting your skin absorb the compound.

Now that you know how to use an herb for a compound-
Next step is finding people who will be able to give you positive or negative information about or on herbs regarding your troubles. I will include some of the top sites I know of.

If you want a one-on-one with someone who'd know better, check for herbal stores in your area. You'd also be wise to look up wiccan or magic stores, seeing they know about and incorporate herbs into their everyday usage and know how to find the information you want.

And, of course, working at a library, your nearest library may have a magazine entitled, "The Herbal Companion". They have links and guides in them that may help.
