it was either really really good weed or it was laced
With the information provided, there appears to be some drug interactions here. Weed will cause increased heart rate and even vertigo, and you know your tolerance decreases after taking a break but it looks like you had something else accompanying your use for that one time. Maybe you were drunk by the time you smoked or some other psychoactive was included in what you smoked. Don't discard your body just reacting negatively to that "one huge hit".
It was probably a combination of the weed being stronger than you're used to, plus the fact you took a month tolerance break. I'm gonna assume your friends didnt quit for a month, so they still have the tolerance, while you don't.
It could've been laced, but its not likely. As much as we all wish it to be true, not very many people will give us drugs for free :P

no i don't think it was laced but its known that weed has a different effects on different people it goes by your weight your height your tolerance to the drug and how long you haven't smoked you said it was a month.you let your tolerance to weed go down there for you reach the hi allot faster and stayed there longer

I suspect they laced it with something bad. I've never heard of pot affecting someone that way. and pot won't keep you high for 10 hours or cause shaking. It was probably a form of "speed" like crack cocaine. I think I would avoid these people.
Experience
i have been smoking pot for about 1 1/2 years now and that happens often to me to i think it was some good stuff cuz the same **** happened to me

You could have been having a panic attack.
There's also the possibility that it was laced with some things that you probably did not want.
just dont do drugs. it is gross, trashy, and so unattractive.
it could have just been really good weed thats more strong... I wouldn't worry about it too much...
Your tolerance virtually diminishes after a month. Your body builds up a tolerance to THC (the ingredient in marijuana that is responsible for most of the psychoactive effects) extremely fast. Your reaction sounds typical of someone who has ingested a large amount of THC very quickly. I do not think it was laced if your other friends smoked. Also, maybe your friends have developed a tolerance to the strain of weed they were smoking, so they did not feel it like you. This is common, because different strains have different cannabinoids and cannabinoid distributions.
