What are the easiest ways to quit cigarettes?!
Question: What are the easiest ways to quit cigarettes?
Don't tell me to go to rehab or visit a doctor, I don't wanna
Answers:
I started smoking when I was 15, tried to quit a few times with no success. For most of that time I smoked the popular brands, not naming any names. Around 1999-2000 I switched to a no-additive brand. They cost a little more but I smoked less so it worked out, and I started to appreciate how nasty all the added crap made regular brands taste.
Then I started limiting the places I smoked: first just no smoking in the car, and no smoking in the house. Then I would leave my cigarettes home when I went to work, so it was pretty much smoking only in the evenings. After a while of that, I found myself smoking only half a cig at a time because a whole one made me feel dizzy and nauseous. Over about a year, I cut back from a full pack, to a half pack, to 3 or 4 cigarettes a night, and it was really easy to just run out of cigarettes one day and feel no huge urge to run out and get another pack.
So after 20 years of smoking a pack a day steadily, I quit smoking with very little real effort 4 years ago.
i don't know. i just quit cold turkey and it worked fine for me.
