Question: What if i freeze my pillow or put in in the refridgerator?
you know how you flip your pillow at like 1 AM to get to the cold side and its all comfy? well what if i put it in the refrigerator like 10 or 20 minutes before i go to bed. will it have the same effect? and can i get sick from that?

Other than direct sunlight, it is another way to kill dust mites and their eggs so you could certainly try it for that but i would not recommend it for what you propose. Your body could perceive it as a form of stress if it was too cold and for long....that could trigger a migraine or something else you might get when stressed.

Just keep turning your pillow and reduce your covers if you keep getting too hot.

Peace.

I don't think it will remain cool for all too long, however, as long as you perhaps wrap your pillow in a garbage bag first you shouldn't get sick. You don't want any excess ice attaching itself to the pillow causing mold, etc. Also, I would put it in the freezer not the refrigerator & it might actually work. I haven't tried it but I used to do the pillow flipping thing too. If you put it in the fridge you could get sick, freezer less likely.

Used to do the pillow flipping thing too, also smart as hell ...and had to take a food health course to have been a food vendor in a las vegas casino, so I sorta know the do's and don'ts a bit.

You might get a brain freeze

EDIT: No, you can't catch a cold from a cold pillow - colds are a virus, you catch them from other infected people.

it will be chilled but will heat up once you lay on it, you don't get sick from the cold you get sick from bacteria and viruses

it will be extremely cold, and you won't be able to sleep on it, unless it's REALLY hot where you live.

dude... that's genius!!!!!!!

How would you get sick from a cold pillow

It will get cold
