Where can I get Milk Thistle (Silimarina)?!

Question: Where can I get Milk Thistle (Silimarina)?
My Mom wanted me to see if I could find this anywhere. She said she saw it on TV but I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere.

Answers:

Silymarin is the extract from the seeds of the milk thistle plant.

The botanical name of the plant itself is Silybum marianum - you should be able to get tablets (possibly seeds or tea or Silybum in a mixed tablet) from any health food store.

What you need to ask for is Silybum marianum, rather than Silymarin.

You can probably find milk thistle supplements in the health food stores.

The herbs can probably be found in specialty herb shops or you can order it online.
