Cymbalta and Antacids?!
Question: Cymbalta and Antacids!?
Is it alright to take Cymbalta and say,Pepsid AC!? Thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Something like Tums(Bicarbonate) or Pepto Bismol(Bismuth), yes!. Pepsid and Zantac are medications belonging to a class called H2-Antagonists, which are notorious for doing strange and nonsensical things to other medications, so check with your doctor before using those two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Hi: I could not find anything on the internet indicating any problems with taking Cymbalta along with antacids, including H2-antagonists!.
In fact the only reference I could find to taking the 2 meds together said that there were no adverse side effects!. If you want to, you can check the link below!. You have to skip down to about the middle of the document to the section called "Interactions!."
To be on the safe side, you can call your pharmacist or doctor!. Pharmacists have almost as much training as MDs!.
Be well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
