Need more info on gallbladder flush?!

Question: I was wondering if anyone has done the gallbladder/liver flush and had a before/after ultrasound done?

Also, I have read on some sites that the "stones" which are passed are not stones at all but "soaps" formed by the lemon/olive oil.

Yet, I know several nurses and other medical personnel who promote the flush.

Were you told you needed surgery & went ahead with the flush instead?

Also, did you do the apple juice or epsom salt?

There is only one medication that will dissolve gallstones- called Ursodiol. It's a bile salt that you take in tablet form, and it can dissolve gallstones IF they are made of cholesterol. You have to take it for up to a year, and it still may not dissolve all the stones. Worse yet- the stones reform in most patients within 1-5 years of taking it. It's not cheap, and you have to have continual ultrasounds and liver function tests done while you take it. That is the only thing you can take by mouth that will dissolve gallstones. Nothing else. The so called "flushes" will do absolutely nothing to the stones. Think about it for a moment. Something that was strong enough to dissolve a stone in your gallbladder- multiple stones, more than likely- would have to be pretty strong stuff. Too strong to be taking by mouth, don't you think? As far as the composition of gallstones- no, they aren't made of soaps formed by lemon or olive oil. Gallstones are usually made of either cholesterol that has solidified, or pigment stones made up of bilirubin. Bilirubin is produced when the liver breaks down red blood cells. Most folks have cholesterol based stones. There are lots of theories out there about why some folks tend to form them- but the upshot is that once you have formed them, you will continue to form them as long as you have a gallbladder for them to form in. Apple juice is a fine drink, but most of what the body will get is the water, and a few vitamins/minerals. It won't have any effect on your liver at all. Epsom salts make a fine paste for drawing boils, a nice soak for tired muscles, and even works as a laxative if you are constipated. But diarrhea isn't exactly a friend you want to make right now, if you are having gallbladder problems. The surgery to remove the gallbladder isn't that bad- a laproscopic procedure can be done as a one day admission, in for surgery in the AM, home in your own bed that night. I know surgery is a scarey option, but that or the Ursodiol are the only real options there are that will work. The rest of that stuff is pure hooey, banking on you being afraid and desperate to avoid surgery. Nothing you drink is going to magically dissolve your stones. I really don't even recommend the medication unless you are not a good surgical risk. First of all, it's very expensive. And you have to take it for up to a year, during which you can still have gallbladder attacks and one of those stones can slip down into the common duct and block it off completely. That will not only trigger a gallbladder spasm, but set you up for pancreatitis as well. Together they are one seriously painful experience you just don't want. And you will need to have more ultrasounds and blood tests all the time you take the medication. On top of all that, it still may not work- and the stones tend to reform. I worked with a nurse and had a neighbor who both tried the medication. The nurse had no luck at all with it. The neighbor had luck, but reformed the stones inside a year of stopping the medication and ended up in surgery, plus had pancreatitis. He was not happy at all, to say the least. So discuss your two viable options with your doctor, and decide which is best for you. Skip on the flushes, they really don't work. Either you remove the gallbladder, or take the medication- otherwise, you will just continue to suffer. I'm sorry, but that's the facts.

Homeopathy: chelidonium 6X; herbal: artichoke. Psychologically: reduce your rage.

Don't waste you time with this quackery. Apple juice (like anything imbibed) gets broken down and never reaches the liver or gall bladder whole. It's a bunch of nonsense.

You need both the apple juice and Epsom salts. Here are the complete directions. It saved my gall bladder. Do it every six months.
