I have a sore throat that burns, will salt water make the burning worse?!


Question: no way!! gargling with warm salt water makes it feel SO much better!! thats what school nurses always do for sick students, too. i guarantee you'll feel better.

Salt water will actually help your sore throat and make it go away quicker. It doesn't make it burn at all. Always works for me! Hope this helped!! Good Luck :]

It will not make it worse or burn-keep the water very warm-it will feel better. Watch for yellow or green drainage or a temp over 100. If you swallow & it feels like razor blades-better see a Dr to rule out strep.
