Crazy dreams while taking Chantix?!

Question: It has only been the last few nights. One night i had a dream that muslims were all in ballons in the sea commiting suidcide. The next night i had a dream that the anti christ was coming for me, and then all these people came and tortured me because i was telling them there was a Jesus. Then last night this Chinese guy came to me and told me God told him to kill these people and he wanted me to do it. So i killed 2 people. And the other guy was after me. It felt so real. Usually i don't have dreams. At first i thought i was crazy. I woke up the night before last crying to my husband because i was so scared. Will these dreams ever go away.

Well, according to the drug's listings, the main side effects are listed as:
"Nausea, headache, *difficulty sleeping, and abnormal dreams*." (and other more serious ones)

Most things that prevent deep sleep but allow you to sleep basically let you remember your dreams. There are some drugs (like Chantix) that induce a lighter level of sleep like that, and many women in the later months of pregnancy tend to report more vivid dreams because their child is moving and keeping them from entering a deep sleep.
Typically, when you are in your deepest sleep, you won't actively remember the full dream. Some people remember the last part of it because they are coming out of that deep-sleep cycle and are semi-conscious.... if you don't normally remember your dreams, that just means you go from deep sleep to awake too quickly to remember them.

The dreams will probably stop and go back to normal when you get off the drug. However, in the mean time, you should know that you can control your dreams to a point.
What I mean is that you can take over when you realize it's a dream... choose which way you run or what you do... you could even try to fly if you wanted to (I've been able to control a few dreams and I've flown in a couple). When you're in a dream state, your brain is more susceptible to suggestion (which is why you killed 2 people in your dream when you otherwise wouldn't)... but if enough of your conscious mind gets in there, you can make choices more effectively. Try it next time you realize it's a dream. Good luck!

I have a few of them myself, big giant rats, husband turning much much "finer" than he is, dancing cigarette butts! (no joke) , but they do get easier.
I have been smoke free now for 8 days and counting. I dont even want one of those nasty things!
Keep going, it does get better and easier. Trust me!

The other day I seen on the news that it was causing suicidal tendencies in some patients.
So if I were you I would check that out!!
