Pros:
Quality of life over quantity
Modern medicine can keep you alive for an unnatural amount of time.
The right to live free must inherently include the right to die or life is forced and not free.
Personal choice and control over your life
Cons:
The ridiculous - people will kill off old folks to save money. (Let's not use cars because someone will drive drunk)
Religious mumbo jumbo (separation of church and state ;))
Currently, most states allow terminal sedation. Basically, you can give someone a lethal dose of morphine to relieve excess pain because your claiming to be doing it to relieve pain. Sort of a cowardly agreement of the premise of euthanasia, but not calling it by name.
