What is a "certified true copy"?!

Question: I am sending in some paperwork to a company and on their form is says "attach a certified true copy of your certificate of registration from your Board or Association." I've already made my own copy of my cert but where do I go to get it certified as a true copy? Australia Post? Thanks for any help!

Technically a certified true copy is a photocopy of your original document signed and certified by someone authorized to do so, like a Justice of Peace or Notary Public.

You need to have it signed and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace to be a certified true copy.
