Will consumption of the following herbs negatively affect high blood pressure?!
Question: I have a bad cold, but I have high blood pressure and cannot take regular over the counter medications to aleviate symptoms. I was give a tea called "cold formula" that is an herb tea which supposedly temporarily relieves coughs due to colds.
This is the list of herbs contained in the tea:
Organic peppermint leaf
Organic cinnamon bark
safflower flower
organic ginger rhysome
organic hyssop herb
coltsfoot(?) leaf
organic European elder flower
sweet orange peel
organic clove flower bud
and
organic rose hip
I am suppose to drink one cup of well steeped tea every 3 hours.
any info on these herbs and their effect on blood pressure would be appreciated.
thank you
