How do you stop incense from smoking?!
Question: normally, when i go into a temple it smells lovely. When i burn incence, it smells like smoke. It's good quality incence, and i let the room ventilate, but there is just an overwhelming smell of fire. Thanks

Incenses are essential oils, which can evaporate if the sticks are not used for a long time. What is left is just the smoking mix. Probably your sticks are old. Try a fresh lot Store sealed in the fridge.

thats how incense works you just need to get some good incense not cheap stuff. also just take your fingers and pinch it.
incsense is suppose to smoke, that is where the smell comes from. i do not think I ever burnt an incsense that did not smoke and i burn a lot of incsense!

After you light it blow it out quickly that should do the trick. However, it always will put off some smoke. If you don't want the smoke, just get a good quality candle.
When you burn insence its gonna smoke no matter what, How are you lighting them, match? use butane lighter. Also the incense may have been in manufactured wrong, even good quality can be. The stick kind are prone to this. Cone is best for it has no internal wood.
