Can honey help a yeast infection?!
Question:
Can honey help a yeast infection?
i heard from many people that honey can help a yeast infection. does it? and if so then why do you need unsweetened yogurt to help. what i was told was that yeast feeds off sugar so if you use yogurt, it must be unsweetened?
Answers:
Honey DOES have antiseptic qualities, but I've never heard anything about eating it to help a yeast infection. It's true that a high sugar diet will make it worse.
Eat yogurt!!! That's the best thing because they contain live cultures that help your vagina (and digestive system) bring the bacteria balance back. You have naturally occuring bacterias in your vagina, but the Candida one "took over" so to speak. They have new "Probiotic" yogurts, but I haven't heard much about them other than what they have out there for marketing. Stick to the yogurts you're used to. La Yogurt's pina coladas are awesome.
It doesn't have to be unsweetened- so eat your favorite ones because they all have live and active cultures.
