Is seeing a gynecologist free or do you have to pay?!

Question:

Is seeing a gynecologist free or do you have to pay?

I'm kind of broke at the moment but I really want to see a gynecologist just to be keeping up with my health.

Answers:

Do you have health insurance? If not, you should call your local Health Department and they can point you in the direction of a place that will see you based on your income,or they may even help you get STATE Insurance Coverage so you can see a doctor and have insurance too. This depends on the state you live in. If you were to simply make an appointment with a gynecologist no insurance, I'm afraid most ask for payment when services are rendered, which means before you leave they want you to pay in full. A regular GYN visit runs over $100 ,I imagine it's pretty much the same all over no matter where you live. If you get blood work or anything like that, that is an xtra charge too. Doctor bills are outrageous! Call the Health Department in your area.
