What safer sex precautions do two monogamous, virgin, women need to take? (take !

Question:

What safer sex precautions do two monogamous, virgin, women need to take? (take 2)?

i am a woman, and i am becoming quite physical with another woman. We are starting to wonder about safe sex practices. we are both virgins, and have only kissed other people- otherwise we've only been with each other.

everything i've read so far appears to be aimed at people who are already sexually active. we aren't. i know we don't have to worry about pregnancy, but are there any STI's we should be concerned about? (bearing in mind our lack of sexual activity.) Should we obey the six month waiting rule between when being tested and when it's ok to not use barriers, despite us both being virgins?

what type of protection should we be using? if any? (it sounds weird to not be using protection, but it appears that we aren't at risk for anything.) also, should we be getting tested for anything?

thank you.

Answers:

if you are both virgins then there is zero risk for catching STIs from each other.

have fun
