How do you lose weight at 41?!
Question:
How do you lose weight at 41?
I have been dieting for 2 1/2 months. I have eaten 1200 calories a day or less with very little fat. I have not eaten any breads. I have walked several times a week when I am able. Yet I have only lost 7 pounds. My weight has always been up and down like a roller coaster for years. Now that I am older, it seems like it does not like to go down like it used to. I am considering gastric bypass. What is your advice?
Answers:
Girl we were made to meet on here! I am 41 this August, also named Tracy, and my weight is also up and down.
First, I watched what I eat. I cannot stick to a certain calorie per day, and something always comes up where I cannot watch carbs, fats, etc....SO what I do is this.
Drink 10-16 16oz water every day. Walk everyday. I pay attention to the foods. like if I have a bread, none for rest of day. If we go out and have something bad, I excercise more that day and eat better that day/ evening or less next day. I don't skip meals, and having smaller portions throughout the day ahs honestly helped me out so much.
Please reconsider the by-pass. Several of my friends/ church members either "had" to or chose to. Not one out of eleven are happy. They hate what happens to your body afterwards, It's too hard of a lifestyle change. Two of them were health nuts, and they still say they wouldn't do it again for nothin.
I have actually just joined Curves, also. Their workouts are whatever you make them and their machines are designed for any person, any size,& with any kind of medical problems.
I honestly have lost more inches and weight this last two months than in my whole life, including when I lost baby weight!
Hope I have helped you. Please let me know if I can encourage you with our fight to beat the bulge!!
