Itchy vagina?

I'm a virgin so I dont know why but around the enterance of my vagina is itchy. wtf? lol

Answers:

More likely than not a yeast infection. Is your vulva red? Is there a slight white chunky (cottage cheese) discharge? Have you been on antibiotics recently?

I got my first yeast infection when I was 11 or so, well before I started my period. I get it nearly every time I am on antibiotics. It can also be caused by not changing out of a wet bathing suit, wearing a tampon too long, change in diet (too much yeast).

Eat yogurt with live bacteria and make sure to keep yourself very clean. Do not scratch as tempting as it is. You can get external vaginal itch cream at CVS or whatever. There are also bacteria pills, but you should check with a doctor to make sure it is a yeast infection first. If it does not go away in a couple of days, you should call the doctor. The first time, you should be diagnosed by a doctor or nurse practitioner (need not be a gyno) and after that you can self diagnose. Most likely, you are just sensitive to something--usually wet clothing (sweat too) or antibiotics.

BTW--yeast infections are caused when the good bacteria in the vagina are killed and the natural yeast grows out of control. You do need both in there, but if the balance is right, they don't bother you.

Take care!
