First time sex question?!

Question:

First time sex question?

Me and my boyfriend are talking about having sex for the first time, we are both virgins. All my friends tell me that it hurts really really bad the first time and it kinda freaked me out. So does it hurt bad? And are there anyways to make it hurt less?

Thanks!

You may not like this answer, but I'm going to tell you the truth. (don't worry, I'm not going to tell you it's right or wrong; that's your place to do, not mine!)

Are you willing to risk that even with birth control, condems and spermicide, that you could still get pregnant?

Are you willing to accept that if you aren't an adult and are having sex, there is a 96 percent chance that the person you are having sex with, will not be around in a few years, and will not be the person you end up with in life?

Are you aware that it only takes one 'accident' to become pregnant? And that in a poll about sex as a teenager, almost 85 percent of the adults admitted that they wished they had waited, and 65 percent felt pressured to have sex in the first place, regretting it afterwards?

I'm not telling you right or wrong, I just want you to be comfortable with your own choice and make sure you have all the facts; facts that sometimes people don't come out and tell you because they may not know, or may not care.

As for your question; It does hurt, and it hurts badly, and not always just for the girl either, since the hymen can be pretty thick sometimes and may bruise the man's genitals.

Once sexually active, Both male and female chances of urinary tract infections go up radically, by about tripple; and the chance of a yeast infection in females is almost double.
This is actually increased by the use of spermicides or condems. Some females are actually allergic to latex, and will get one just by the use, despite that condems are the ONLY way for a sexually active person to reduce the chance of contracting a disease.

The reason it hurts, is because the hymen breaks, and the tearing causes blood and brief pain, which passes quickly.

Short of your hymen tearing through some other means; there's not much you can do about it.
