i'm 15 and i've never used a tampon. i've tried it before, but i just can't get it to work. any advice?

Start with the smallest size. I prefer the type you have to put in yourself verses the applicator type ( you have to wash your hands anyways) I prefer OB because they open up all around instead of longer or in a c shape. Go slow, make sure the the string is down, slide it in and push it up as far as your finger will let you. There are several positions of insertion...try what feels best for you. Do not be afraid to talk to your mom either or another close female adult
