How can I buy tampons without my mom knowing?
Okay, well I while ago I asked my mom if I could try tampons because I do sports and things and pads were too uncomfortable for me and I wanted to try something different. Well, she said no because if I did I wouldn't be a virgin. So, I asked what I should do here, and I asked again and my mom told me I would loose my virginity if I did even though I showed her several websites that proved this false. Then I wrote her a report about why I should be able to use tampons and she said that I wasn't allowed to use tampons until I get married. Anyways, I had to quit gymnastics because of this because I could only get regulars from tampon machines and I needed supers and I just couldn't do it in pads. I've used tampons several times, know about TSS, and I know how to insert them and I know not to use them at night or when I'm just lounging around. I can't drive and I can't walk/drive to the grocery store. Any ideas how I can get tampons without her knowing?

Gosh your mom sounds ignorant (no offense). You could talk to your school nurse about it, a friend, grandma, find a way to get to the store and buy like 5 boxes to last you for a few months, or just use the regulars, but you have to change it much more often, but that's not a big deal. I feel bad that this is affecting your life- you had to quit gymnastics! Good luck hon, hopefully your mom will get a clue!
