They voted to bar all federal funding to Planned Parenthood. Regardless of what you think of abortion, PP does so much more to help women. There is an open letter to congress, I urge you to sign it. Here is a link:

I agree. I've never used it myself, but I've read about women who've been able to catch cervical cancer and get it treated. Planned Parenthood provides accessible women's health care to women who are low-income and lacking insurance. I don't know for sure, but I'm willing to bet that the amount of taxes going to support PP is pretty minuscule at best. I'm no fan of the nanny state, but I'd rather have my tax money go towards providing contraception than having more unwanted children being born.
