Why do I weigh different each time I weigh myself in the morning?!
Question: Why do I weigh different each time I weigh myself in the morning?
Answers:
Sounds pretty frustrating- I know the feeling.
It sounds as if you just have a cheap-o scale- I'd recommend a higher quality/slightly more expensive one.
Or it could just be that the battery is going out, which can affect accuracy. Maybe try a new one?
It's apparently not off by more than a few pounds, so it's up to you if you want to keep it.
If you're concerned about weight loss/gain/maintenance, a few pounds can mean all the difference in your 'game plan'.
I agree with David- weighing yourself every day is just pointless and tedious- I only allow myself to hop on a scale once a week, at the same time of day, after I'm...urm...empty. :)
First of all, why would you weigh yourself? Women waste SO much valuable time doing pointless things like that. Secondly, do you not know anything about biology? Do you think your body is a mannequin or something? Bodies constantly change in weight, so there is no real way to accurately know. It's just a meaningless number.
If you're worried about how you look, just judge it by how you look in the mirror because a number on a scale is pointless.
I know where you are coming from as I had this same problem several years ago. I found that I was obsessing and stressing over my weight and religously weighed myself in the morning and at night before I went to bed. My suggestion would be to weigh yourself once a week or at most twice a week. You are stressing yourself needlessly.
this is "scale obsession". home scales are relatively inaccurate. your weight can also vary daily by about three lbs. weighing once a day, or better, three times a week will lower the self induced stress level. don,t feel intimidated. my wife has been weighing herself daily for 40 years. she knows the drill; but cant resist.
Take the average. Weight fluctuates and most scales aren't scientifically accurate. Weigh yourself once in the morning and you won't be so fixated on it.
