It take awhile to get uses to them. Or you may need a different brand.
When starting them, you should use the smallest one possible. They made teenage ones or slims.
I like the playtex sport ones and they are the only ones I can uses. All of the others feel as you described. And I have been at this awhile! :)

are you sure it's far enough up there? you're not really supposed to feel it once it's in.
when i started using them i sometimes felt like it was about to fall out, especially when i sat, and it was because i didn't put them far up enough.
