Why does it hurt? please help.?!

:) I know how you feel. Make sure to ALWAYS read the instructions that come with the tampons, they are very helpful. When inserting the tampon, put one leg on the side of the bath or toilet and relx your muscles, it wont work if you're tensed up. Slowly insert it into the vagina and make sure you slant it upwards at a steady angle. Once it is in, give it a few minutes to adjust, if you can feel the tampon and/or it is giving you pain, take it out straight away, then try again with a NEW tampon. If you cannot wear the tampon comfortably, perhaps you should stick to pads. As for tampons: You can always try a smaller size until you get more used to them. I'm not sure what brand are available where you are, but I suggest U by Kotex, as they are small and simple to use.

if it hurts you're not inserting it in right. putting on a tampon should not hurt at all. it should just slip in. you don't insert it in straight up, you have to go at an angle towards your butt/back. it might also hurt a bit more if you are a virgin then to those who aren't but it still shouldn't feel like a stabbing pain. read the instructions. that's how i figured it out and by just feeling around before putting it in all the way.

most virgins should not use tampons because there is that built in block, that most men chase women just for scoring with a virgin ... you need to check out an anatomy book and a sex book...
when you have the hymen broken either from sex or from constant trying to get that tampon in. or trying to give birth naturally, then after you do all that it will stop hurting...
if you were raised in a Jewish family you would know this and your mother would have told you not to wear tampons ever.
