Are there any risks in using both a pad and a tampon at the same time?!

Question: Are there any risks in using both a pad and a tampon at the same time?
I don't actually do this - but I was just wondering. Will trying to double up on protection, by wearing both a pad and a tampon at the same time, have any bad side effects?

Answers:

NO WAY!!! You'll be fine!!! Double the protection!!!!

No. Women who have a heavy flow often use both tampons and pads for extra protection. As long as both the pad and the tampon are changed at the appropriate time, there is no health risk. Because the pad is external, it's alot safer and fool-proof than tampons :)

Of course not!
One form is internal and one is external, so it won't be any more uncomfortable than just a pad and probably less messy

No. The pad will just serve as backup. Just don't leave the tampon in any longer than you normally should to avoid TSS.

No risk at all. I've done it many times. Especially during heavy periods.

I do it all the time. No worries mate :)

perfectly fine! just make sure that if u were to do that to change the tampon regularly.
there are no side effects.
