yes, it will affect when you get your period with the pill. sometimes the pill can regulate periods on Implanon, but it takes several months. many different things can cause your period to be late, esp when using hormone methods of birth control. You should phone your doctor and see what he/she says, on whether you should wait until after your period to start on the the new month of pills, or just start taking them as planned. good luck, hope it works out :-)

You don't normally bleed straight away, it's normal to start bleeding on the 6th day of the break. You still have to take your next pack of pills on the normal time that you would take them, so once the 7 days are over, take the first pill of the next pack, even if you are still bleeding.
your body is getting used to it so give it some time...and usually bleeding starts at the 3rd day of the break but first few months there might be unusual stuff so don't worry it'll settle soon
