What will they do in the operation?!

Question: What will they do in the operation?
I had an injury to my finger when i was 12 and broke it but when it healed it went bent over like an arch/ C.
I have an appointment at the hospital on the 7th april and will be told when my operation is.

I cant straighten my finger and when i try to it strains that finger, the bottom of the finger next to it and part below the finger.

What do you think they will do in the operation ??

Answers:

When you first injured your finger, it caused the ligaments and tendons and possibly the muscles to atrophy as it healed improperly. The surgeons will likely lengthen these in surgery and give you more freedom of movement after you heal. Some type of rehab/therapy would be good, directed by your physician. You won't regain the movement you've lost and had surgery on if you don't move your fingers after surgery. Talk to your doctor, ask any and all questions you have before surgery. You'll find that most are happy to talk and explain all your questions to you with the answers you seek. If you don't know, ask. Good luck w/your surgery.
