I have been to the doctor due to constant aching and sometimes sharp, shooting pains around my left ovary!. Also, my left side is a little raised, by my ovary!. I think it's enlarged, but when I had an ultrasound everything came back normal!.!.!. My doctor never did tell me why my left ovary feels different than the one on the other side!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am going through the same thing!. left side pain!. feel pressure and fullness!. haven't got the results back yet but i have a feeling it's not an ovarian cyst!. look up diverticulitis!. my doc says if mine is not a cyst then we're gonna check into that!. the difference between the two ovaries my depend on which one is ovulating!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
I'm a nurse, and I've had personal experiences with female pains too!. Do yourself a favor!. Get a second opinion!. You can pick up your ultrasound films, and take them to the new Dr!. with you when you go!. About 8 years ago, I had a miscarriage!. A few months after I kept having horrible sharp pains like you said!. I went back to my Dr, he sent me for an ultrasound, and said nothing was wrong with me!. (He was a jerk anyway, but that's beside the point!.) So I did wind up going to the GYN, and I took my films with me!. I have poly-cystic Ovarian Disease!. Which is cysts all over my ovaries!. I'm not telling you this to freak you out!. I'm telling you things, because people sometimes know when something really is wrong with your body!.
