Question: How long does a transvaginal ultrasound take!?
I am going to get a transvaginal ultrasound (im not prenant so thats not the reason!.!.!.!.he thinks i have an ovarian cyst) either today or monday (the doctor office didn't call yet with the appoitment) and I was wondering how long it takes!. Its the first one I have ever gotten!.!.!.!.!.!.so I'm kinda nervous but!.

I'm having one of those too in a couple of weeks time!.
I had one a couple of years ago and it only lasted a few minutes!. It wasn't painful or uncomfortable!. It's just the hanging around that takes it's time!.
It's not like having a pap test or cervical smear, these can be uncomfortable!. The scans are much less unpleasant!.
The instrument isn't very fat but it is important to stay relaxed!.

Hey no worries, I have had a couple of them, I have two children!.
They don't take very long at all, mine only lasted a few minutes!. Also, I don't think they are painful!. I have never heard of any one having one and it being painful!. Really it just feels weird, but I sounds like you should go and do it because cysts can be painful it not attended to!.

Shouldn't take very long, maybe 15 min or a little more depending on how efficient the tech is!. It's a bit uncomfortable but you will be fine!. Just make sure the tech is a female so you can feel more comfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it only takes a few minutes!. it kind of reminded me as a pap test!. there is nothing to be scared of!. it doesn't hurt but it can be a little uncomfortable!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
