you can wear a pad but sometimes it is possible to see the pad in a cheer outfit!. when i was younger in cheer we were told we could not use pads because sometimes they stick out the side of the uniform!.!.!.!. but i guess it depends on your school!. But i would suggest trying a tampon!. I love them and will never go back to pads!. if you are unsure what kind to buy the most comfortable and popular is a plastic applicator!. I prefer tampax Pearl!. and then you should choose what absorbency if you have light periods go with regular, if they are heavy i would go with super, if they are extra heavy go with extra super!.!.!.!.!.!.it really isnt hard, there are even directions on how to insert a tampon inside the box and all over the internet!. try it, you might like it better!. you never know till you try!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Next year sounds like its gonna be so much fun for you!. Why not try tampons now and see if they work for you!. Most girls have a bit of trouble getting them in at first but soon get the hang of it!. If that doesn't work pads with wings and then a pair of sports briefs over the top should stop things moving around too much if you cant do tampons!.

you can use a pad!.
but tampons are sooo much better!.
its seriously not hard!.
i mean NOT HARD!.
just stick it in there!.
i know your probally thinking "what if its in too far, what if i blah blah blah"
just stick it in there!
u can't possibly hurt yourself!.
but it would be really uncomfortable if its not in enough!.
just slide it in, until the applicator thing is almost all the way in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A pad would be fine! I'm not a cheerleader, but I am a dancer!. I've done ballet in a pad so many times, because i can't insert a tampon!.
So, as long as you don't think about it, it'll be fine!. But that shouldn't stop you from trying a tampon anyways!.
the main thing about putting in a tampon though, is relaxing!!!
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey:]

I'm a cheerleader and I HAVE to use a tampon!. Its mandatory!. our coach makes us wear them because you will still be dancing even if your not doing splits or flips or anything like that!. But dancing will move the pad out of place!. I reccomend a tampon!. much easier and they don't hurt!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A night time pad should give you enough coverage if you want to avoid tamponsWww@Answer-Health@Com
