I'm female!. Women should not be ashamed of their periods!. Its not dirty or gross!. I dont know why its such a hush hush thing!. If Im pmsing and my guy friends are around and I feel they should know for whatever reason I tell them!. I also live with my bf and I talk to him about it!. Its just something your body does!. If it was a girl who I was friends with or talked to regularly no I would not mind!. If it was someone I knew less it would not make me uncomfortable, but I would think it was odd that they were mentioning it to me!. Unless they had a question about it, or it was pertinent to the conversation I would just assume they were tactless!. Tactlessness, poor etiquette, bad manners and similar traits do not make me uncomfortable, they just lower my opinion of that person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, as a woman I have been sharing this information freely with my husband for years now and told boyfriends in past with no hesitation whatsoever!. If the guy is uncomfortable, that's his hangup, not yours! Even though men can't relate, your partner should be more sympathetic during your time of the month!. i know some women who don't have a problem with it and others have major issues!. if it affects moods or social interaction, I, as a guy, definitely want to know and talk about it!. this can perhaps prepare men to be more "sensitive" and "understanding!." i think parents should teach their sons about it too, and save them from a lifetime of confusion!Www@Answer-Health@Com
when i talk to my boyfriend about my period, we refer to it as "tom" [ time of month]!. a lot of my girlfriends call it that as well!. so if he wants to have sex or something, i just say, "sorry, tom's in town" it makes it kind of funny and a lot less awkward to talk about!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it is that uncomportable to talk about if it is your hustband (oviously) or boyfriend you have been dating awhile!. If they wonder why you are in a bad mood, its good to tell them why so they can understand!. But I'm sure they don't want ALL the details!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I sit with chicks sometimes in the mornings before school!.!.!.or during lunch!.!.!.they just start talking about their's right in front of me like its nothing i wouldnt want to hear!.!.!.

Nope, usually I find it easier to say I'm on my period, it save a lot of trouble because guys dont understand not to say "are you on your period" when your upset, so I tell them I will notify them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Depends on the guy!. But for the most part, nope!. If he asks, he's getting an honest answer, even if it weirds him out!. If I bring it up, I'm a little more tactful!. And I would usually only bring it up to my doctor, or boyfriend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
