Could someone please help me with my question about waxing?!

Question: Could someone please help me with my question about waxing!?
I'm a 22 year old female and I have hair growing on my chin!. Not fun at all, and I HATE it and am totally self concious about it!. I'm always thinking when people look at me that they can see it, even though they might not!.

There's quite a bit of hair-it's not just a few or 15!. The hair is dark and coarser!. I've never shaved it!. I knew that was a big no-no right off the bat!. I have tried some hair removal creme from the store, and of course that didn't work!. I've plucked a few here and there, but what I usually do is just take a scissors and cut them as short as I possibly can!.

I went to the doctor to ask about it, and they said it was probably a hormonal imbalance, so they told me that I should start taking ortho tri lo birth control pills!. Well they never did any test, they just said it was prob a hormonal imbalance!. I was wondering what waxing really does!. What I wanted to do is maybe just try waxing it for now and see if that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No waxing will not have any effect on the Birth control!.
It's an external thing!.!.!.!.it has nothing to do with your internal balances!. Your Testosterone levels are probably just high!.
It's nothing to sweat!.

it will keep the hair gone for a couple weeks!.!.
then you'll have to do it again!.!.
it's worth it though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Luckily unwanted body hair is easy to get rid of!. Laser hair removal is permanent! Just make sure that you go to a reputable place, I would ask your doctor for a referral!. Electrolysis works by delivering an electrical pulse to the root of the hair, and destroys the follicle, preventing the hair from growing back!. You just have to be really picky about where you go!. Just make sure you aren't pregnant because it might pose a risk to a fetus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

GO AHEAD AND HAVE IT WAXED! i was in my 30's when dark hairs started growing on my chin!. embarrassing!?!
it'll take time( a few yrs mebbe to get but all hairs) but waxing destroys the root!. wax every 4-6 weeks, use a skin conditioner afterwards!. too frequently can damage the skin!. many beauty shops offer this service!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can wax it , but it will grow back and it will come back thicker, but it takes awhile to grow !. You will have to stay on top of it for the rest of your life!. You sound as if you do have a hormonal imbalance and cutting the hair is just like shaving them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OHH the other day i bought Nair quick & easy wax strip for facial hair and bikini!. They worked really well and didn't hurt that much either!. Waxing is probably the best thing to do, as hair grows in thinner and takes a longer time to grow in!. I suggest you try it its only about 8$ too!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same thing!. Some doctors say it's POCS, but I disagree and think POCS is over diagnosed!. Over time waxing can thin the hair and I wax when I get my eyebrows done, but in between I do the same as you - cut or pluck!. Don't be embarrassed, it happens to many women!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Waxing, over time, will make less and less hairs grow in, if yanked from the root!.!.!. I would try waxing, it won't offesst birth control in any way!. And hairs will not grow in darker or thicker, thats only if you shave!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hot wax on hair, let it cool, pull it off!. It rips the hair out at the roots!. The hair will return, but it will take it a while!.

No effect on BC!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try threading at a beauty salon!. It's cheap, effective AND safe!. I always get threaded for facial hair instead of waxing!.
It doesn't use any chemicals like waxing does!.

Good luck!.
Hope this helps!. <3Www@Answer-Health@Com

you could try threading, they usually do this at waxing places, its a bit painful, but not so bad, ask a waxing lady about itWww@Answer-Health@Com

waxing is easy and works for a long time , it will not cause more hair to grow like shaving does

it has nothing to do with your birth controlWww@Answer-Health@Com

Try Nair, this hair melting lotion!.
Or you could always just bleach the hair!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the waxing helps!. usually they ask when they do u r eye brows!. it desnt make it darker or anything jsut wax itWww@Answer-Health@Com

GET a WAX or if is not too long bleach it!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

waxing will in no way shape or form interfere with BC!. Wax them suckers off!!!!! its OK, cause i have them too!.!.!.and can i tell you a secret!.!.!.most women do!.!.!.!.sussh!.!.!.don't tell them all i told you!!!

Ohh and also the first few time!.!.go somplace and have it done, its really not expensive at all!.!.!.get use to the process itself before you attempt to try it on your own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try a epilator!

An epilator pulls out hair by the root ,like waxing, but UNlike waxing it works when the hair is super short!. With waxing you have to wait for it to get a certain length!. I'm not even willing to let my leg hair get somewhat long! gross!

It will save you money in the long run, as you only have to buy it once!. It is convenient to be able to do it yourself in a few seconds at home!. It is slightly more painful than waxing!.

Pulling the hair out by the root causes it to grow back finer and finer!. Eventually it can even go away!.

Electrolysis and Laser hair removal are other options, they are expensive but since its on your face it's worth it! Unlike waxing, plucking and epilator, which can take years to damage the follicle, electrolysis and laser are immediate!

about epilators http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Epilator

Waxing, epilator, plucking, laser, electrolysis - none of these will have any effect on your birth control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think waxing would have any effects with your birth control, since it's a topical thing and birth control is a hormonal thing!. The BC would probably help your chin-hair problem, though; I am 21 and I was on BC for about 2 years, and once I got off it I the hair on my upper lip started to get darker and grow faster, and my acne also came back!. :/ But waxing really helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't be self conscious and don't take chemicals to get rid of facial hair!.!.!.!.please!. I would suggest that you keep tweezing!.!.!.!.but they do make facial wax!.!.!.!.I have a magnified mirror--you can get one anywhere--with a light on it!.!.!.and it helps out tremendously!. I wouldn't just cut, b/c when you are outside and the sun hits your chin, they will be more noticable!. I haven't ever tried to wax mainly b/c tweezing does the job, is quicker, and less expensive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Waxing will remove the hair from below the skin, the follicle is still there and it will regrow!. You will need to do this waxing about every 4 to 6 weeks!. When you go in for waxing you need to have at least 1/2 inch of hair growth so don't shave prior to!. If you decide to start the bc pills the waxing will not affect the hormones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suppose you could just shave it every day!. I've heard waxing can take care of it for a few weeks at a time but it could also be painful each time!. Maybe you should check into electrolysis for your chin!. This is a bit expensive but could take care of the problem forever!. Do you have a really thick bush on you vergina as well!? As a guy I definately prefer women who shave their vergina!. I'm ok with just a very small patch above the clitoris but it has to be high enough above it that it doesn't interfere with cunnilingus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It happens to a lot of us!. Waxing kind of hurts but it sure works well!. I have never heard of it affecting birth control pills!. You might want to also consult another doctor and have blood work done!. That is how they find out about hormones!. Yes, I hate facial hair too!!!!! Waxing makes your skin very soft too!. I have never done it by myself though!. As a bonus, sometimes waxing damages the hair root and some do not grow back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
