Question: Vaginal itching, whats the cause of this!?
For the past 2 months i have had a problem with my vagina itching!. but thats the only thing that is wrong!. there is no odor, no abnormal discharge, no bumps or sores!. at first i thought i would just wait a couple days and it would go away, but it never did!. it would go away for a day or so, but then return again!. right before it started i began being sexually active again!. at first i thought it may have been the type of condoms my boyfriend were using, but he changed them, and i still have the problem!. i've tried to find a cause for this but every site contains the same information!. and none of their causes match my situation!. has any experienced this and found out why!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thrush, definately, had the same problem and went to the doctors for a pap smear (including sti's/std's) and yep that wa the problem!. It like it's not itchy allt the time, just the odd itch occasionally thoughout the day or something and it doesn't last for long when it does yeh!? No weird discharge (maybe a tiny bit thicker my doctor said but i didn't personally notice) or smell!.

It's caused by an increase in bacteria in the vagina, actually my doctor said it's often to do with what we wash with!. Have yo switched body wash/shower gel recently!. Is it strong smelling etc!. That causes it!. I was told Simple bodywash was one of the best!. Suprisingly a lot of shower gels that say "sensitive and no colours etc" are wrong!. All you need to wash down there is water!. You can use Aqueous cream (doctor can pescribe or you can buy it at chemists) for down there!. What i do is smother it on down there before i get int he shower to prevent other shower gels getting there and just ket it wash of byitself int he shower (what my doctor recommended!.

It's not a yeast infection, i've had them before and it's a lot worse with bad discharge etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be a yeast infection, or it may be a cause of what you are using down there, your vagina may be sensitive to perfumes and dyes, so try not to douche, use scented soaps or spray those feminine sprays in that area, try wearing more underwear with a cotton crotch if you're in a climate where you sweat a lot, also it may help if you sleep with out underwear at night, to help it get air, and try using a betadine solution, that really helps!. Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be your laundry detergent or fabric softener!. it could be the condoms!. I get really irritated from condoms unless they are polyurethane without lubrication of any kind!. It could be the soap you use in the shower, or the bubble bath you use in the tub!. You might want to go to your doctor and get a vaginal swab to see if you have a minor yeast infection or bacterial infection that isn't showing any symptoms of discharge!.!. Try a different style of panties as well!.!. if you're wearing thong, switch to boy shorts, and maybe pants that are looser or skirts for a few weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

do you have a skin condition called eczema!? its possible your lower area is irritated because of the condition!.

if you don't know if you have eczema, here are some symptoms:
symptoms include redness, swelling of the skin, itching, dryness, flaking, blistering, cracking, or bleeding of the skin!. it doesn't affect just your face, it can be anywhere on the body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did he change the condoms to a non-latex variety!?

You could be allergic to latex!. Or, different condoms have different "extras" like spermicide!.!.!. you could be allergic to those!.

If not, then go see a doctor!. He/She can answer a lot better than the internet can!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeast infection!.!.!. try monostat!.!.!.!. dont itch anymore or else it will burn when you pee!. Yeast infections need to be treated quickly or else it could evolve into a bladder infection, which is no fun at all!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
