What is the best form of non-hormonal birth control?!
Question: What is the best form of non-hormonal birth control!?
I haven't been pregnant, so I can't use an IUD!. My husband hates condoms!. I can't be on hormones because they make me nuts!. We would be ecstatic about a baby, but couldn't in good conscience plan to have one since we're both graduate students!. Anybody had a lot of success with any method!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had a decade or so of success with the diaphragm and the spermicidal jelly used with it!. Then 3 planned children!. It's gone out of fashion a bit, but it's a safe and highly effective barrier method that is much more pleasant than using condoms, whose only advantage is preventing STDs!. Presumably you and your husband would not be passing STDs between each other!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've never been pregnant, either, but I have plans to get an IUD put in within the next few months!. My sister is a gynecologist and said she sees no reason that a person who's never had a baby can't use it!. She's put them in several patients before (who had never been pregnant) and uses one herself (again, never been pregnant) with no adverse effects!.

Condoms and spermicide!. Spermicide is either a foam or a wax sheet (which is what I've tried)!. For the sheet, you have to wait 15 mins!.
The two together are about as safe as bc pills!.
Can't think of anything else!.

My husband and I have a one year old and I am not ready for number 2 yet!. We also aren't fans of condoms and I am satan on hormonal bc!. We recently tried VCF vaginal contraceptive film!. So far no pregnancies, the instructions say that it is 94% effective compared to condoms that are 98%!.
