Seasonique?!
Question: Seasonique!?
So I just saw a commercial for seasonique, the birth control pill where you only get 4 periods a year, and I was to get on it, but I am kind of worried!. Is it really okay to only have 4 periods a year!?
Also, has anyone been on it!? Do you get a lot of spotting!? inbetween!? The commercial said the spotting can be as heavy as a period!.
Thanks =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am taking it right now!. I love it! For the first pack of pills ( there is a 3 month supply in one pack) I took I did have very little spotting on the second month!. But since then I haven't spotted at all, and my periods are extremely short and light, which I absolutly love!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I'm not on Seasonique as such, but I do take birth control continuously for 3 months, so that I only get 4 periods a year!. It's perfectly safe - there's actually no medical reason to have a period at all when you are on hormonal birth control - there's even a pill that prevents it entirely - Lybrel!.
Continuous pill-taking prevents the build-up of the lining of your uterus, so it's not like you fill up or anything!. In fact, all I get is three days of light spotting every three months - not enough to use tampons, I just use pantyliners!. I don't get bleeding at other times, unless I take my pill slightly late a few days in a row or miss a pill!.

Sounds like a rip-off!. If the spotting can be as heavy as a period, then what's the point!? You might as well have a period, then!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
